Noelani S. Porter is an adjunct faculty of BYU's Student Development Services. She has taught "Effective Study + Learning" (STDEV 109) for over seven years and loves helping students create positive, meaningful, and sustainable change in their lives. Before her current faculty position, she directed the college advisement center of the David M. Kennedy Center for International Studies at BYU for several years advising hundreds of students through the opportunities and difficulties of higher education. She earned her Master's in Education Policy and Leadership. She is originally from Southern California and is an enthusiastic wife and a dedicated mom of four children. One of her favorite mottos is, "Start small and grow from there!"
