Description

NYC REACH members are invited to participate in a live webinar to gain a better understanding of value-based payment (VBP).

New York State has committed to moving 80% of Medicaid Managed Care to value-based payment (VBP) arrangements by 2020. Payments will be tied to patient outcomes and total cost of care. This requires significant changes to how organizations approach clinical, quality, and billing workflows.

During this webinar, experts in VBP and practice operations will demystify the process of preparing for VBP. After attending the webinar, organizations will be able to:

  • Understand New York State’s strategy for promoting VBP

  • Identify key areas where clinical teams must integrate with financial (coding, billing, contracting) teams

  • Implement Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) operations to ensure success under VBP arrangements

Following the presentation, attendees can participate in a live question and answer session.

During this webinar, presenters will focus on VBP implications for Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), however practices of all sizes will benefit from attending.

Presenters:

  • Janice Magno, MPA, Director of Strategy, Primary Care Information Project

  • Ryan Ashe, MPA, Director of Medicaid Payment Reform, New York State Department of Health

  • Peter Epp, CPA , Partner, CohnReznick LLP

This session will be hosted through WebEx. NYC REACH members who register will receive the WebEx log in information at the email address used at registration.
