Preparing for Birth is a comprehensive childbirth class co-taught by a Labor & Delivery RN and Certified Doula. Hosted LIVE online via Zoom!

You will receive an electronic packet with handouts and instructions for how to download your Preparing for Birth eBook in a separate email.

Our Labor &amp; Delivery Nurse/Doula team teach this jam-packed course in what to expect during your upcoming birth and how to cope with common discomforts.This comprehensive childbirth class covers:~ The stages and phases of labor;~ Ways to manage the discomfort throughout pregnancy and birth;~ Non-medical and medical pain relief options, potential medical interventions;~ Decision-making during pregnancy and childbirth;~ Techniques to promote comfort, relaxation, and encourage labor progress (with or without an epidural).~ Newborn procedures and the immediate postpartum transition.You can expect evidence-based information presented without any bias for or against any choice you may make during pregnancy, birth, or parenting. Participants have the opportunity to ask questions throughout to the group or privately to the instructors. The course fee includes an electronic 80-page reference book covering pregnancy, childbirth, newborn care, and breastfeeding basics to refer back to while awaiting your baby&#x27;s birth and as you adjust to newborn. The fee for this live online class includes participation for you and a partner or support person and all course materials. (Please note this is a LIVE class, you must be present to participate, no recordings are provided. Class times are listed in eastern time zone.)** Participants in Preparing for Birth also receive a discount code for 15% OFF ANY ADDITIONAL CLASSES.
