The Prefect Associate Certification Course

The Prefect Associate Certification (PAC) Course is a two day immersive training dedicated to increasing engineering proficiency with workflow orchestration tooling for the modern data stack. The future of data engineering involves more tools, more environments, and more flexibility - most likely with a mix of self hosted and managed orchestration. The PAC course is a guided experience to establish an advanced understanding of Prefect Cloud 2.0 and the fully open source Orion engine. Engineers will leave the course able to leverage a single, secure source of truth for the state and history of all dataflows across their organizations, regardless of where the orchestration happens.

Course StructureThe PAC Course is designed to a be a positive, hands-on experience creating a dynamic for collaboration and creativity. The course is broken down into 6 modules with a final capstone project to tie in all concepts. Each module has the following components:<ul><li>Discussion: 15-30 minutes to discuss the sections core concepts</li><li>Lab: Hands-on-keyboard local and cloud labs to reinforce core concepts</li><li>Demo: Small groups will demo solutions to the instructors</li></ul>And we&#x27;d be remiss not to add a teaser for the social activities and events baked into the two day immersion. You&#x27;ll have to attend to find out what they are!

Core Competencies With completion of the PAC course an engineer will receive a Prefect Associate Certificate. Attendees will leave with an understanding of fundamental and advanced concepts for creating Prefect workflows, infrastructure requirements for deploying Prefect in production environments and best practices for designing an engineering practice around Prefect.
