Precision Rifle I is a beginner/intermediate level class that explores the basics and applications of precision rifle marksmanship. The class consists of approximately 3.5 hours classroom time and 3.5 hours range time. The classroom portion covers the topics of ammunition, ballistics, rifle and scope familiarization, angular units of measure, firearm safety, shooting fundamentals, scope manipulation, zero, shot groups, target analysis, DOPE, range estimation, wind estimation, maintenance, cleaning, and storage. The range portion consists of target engagement from 100-460 yards.

Instructor for the course is Mike Monk, a retired law enforcement officer (2019), who served as a police firearms instructor, sniper, and sniper operations officer, and has over 150 hours of law enforcement sniper training. Required Gear List:

1. Centerfire rifle, bolt or semi-automatic (No magnums)

2. Magnified optic that can be dialed (8X or higher recommended)

3. 100 rounds of the SAME match ammo or hunting ammo (No steel core)

4. Bipod or front bag

5. Sand sock or rear bag

6. Shooter's mat if you want to shoot prone (We have shooting benches)

7. Ear protection (Eye protection is optional)

8. Notebook, pen or pencil

9. Calculator (Cell phone feature is fine)

10. Suitable range attire per weather conditions (Shooting positions are covered)

Optional Gear List:Ice chest, water/drinks, snacks, binoculars, range finder, insect repellant
