Have you ever watched folks row at the olympics and thought, "Dang, I wish I could be that fit and/or row with that level of elegance"? Then this is your lucky weekend! Pacific Rowing Club is hosting its next adult Learn To Row session the weekend of May 3-4, from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM. This LTR session is geared towards introducing prospective novices to the fundamentals of the sport to all prospective rowers in a low stakes fun environment. In addition to learning how to row and handle the necessary equipment, you’ll meet some of the current masters members and get a taste of what your future may hold!

Saturday will focus on the land basics such as a proper warm up, video review, body sequencing, introduction to boats and oars, and how to safely get in and out of the water. Sunday will apply all these basics with an on-the water session where everyone will have a chance to row. After that, you'll have the option to join the PRC masters program for two whole weeks and see what the team's all about! There will be weekday afternoon sessions available for those who want to continue to hone their skills before joining or have more evening flexibility than morning.

Frequently asked questions

How many tickets do I need to participate through the whole weekend?

Just one :) That single ticket covers the whole weekend of coaching and the subsequent two week trial.

Do I need any prior rowing experience to join?

Nope! We take all skill levels during learn to rows.

What clothes should I wear to the LTR

Whatever you're comfortable sweating in! Just be aware extra baggy clothes can get snagged in the boat or rowing machine, so wear those at your own risk.
