Join Dr. Sinéad Corrigan for a weekly online 30-min pranayama (breathwork) practice at 12PM EST (9am PST).

Sinéad has been formally practicing and studying pranayama since 2008. Her first introduction to pranayama was during her studies at the Kadampa Center in Raleigh, NC with resident Tibetan Buddhist Monk GesheLa. She continued to pursue Tibetan Buddhist meditation practices in subsequent years, learning the subtle energy anatomy of Vajrayana Buddhist tradition (light body visualization). In 2010, Sinéad travelled to Mysore, India where she completed further intensive training in pranayama from the Hatha yoga system. During this time, Sinéad also began the study of qigong breath practices from the Universal Healing Tao Lineage, which she became certified to teach in 2016. From 2020 to present, Sinéad has studied in yearly intensives with Dr. Rose Erin Vaughan of Science of Self Yoga learning traditional pranayama from the Hatha Yoga Pradipika. She has also studied pranayama with Sri Dharma Mittra in NYC, specifically the techniques of Psychic Development breath practice.


Class will primarily focus on samvriti, nadi shodhana (alternate nostril), Kapalabhati, Bhastrika, Bhramari (bee breath), and Ujjai breath practices in a succinct routine. Some weeks, we will focus on the qigong breathwork practice of the Six Healing Sounds as well.
