Join Golden Eagle Audubon for our premier field trip. This route replicates Al Larson's Prairie Bluebird Tour, and while we won't have Al to band babies for us, we will see Mountain Bluebirds.

C arpooling is required for this trip as parking is extremely limited.

The range of habitats and change in elevation means a variety of bird species and beautiful scenery. Target species include: Bobolinks, White-throated Swifts, Lewis’s Woodpeckers, American Dippers and Mountain Bluebirds.

Plan for a full day looking for a variety of species on the way to and through Prairie then up the South Fork Boise River to Anderson Ranch Dam.

Most birding will take place near roads and vehicles. Walking is limited on this field trip.

Bring lunch, snacks, water, binoculars, layers, and anything else you need to be comfortable for the day.

Meet in the parking lot of the Columbia Marketplace on Federal Way on the liquor store end at 7:00am. Carpools will be arranged at this time.
