Event description

Description

There has been a tectonic shift in how we as development and humanitarian actors think about the ethical use of data, and many organizations and institutions have taken strides to identify best practices in this emerging space. For example:

Meanwhile, new policies like the EU GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) is set to enter into force--with potential financial implications for members that collect data on EU citizens--in May 2018.

InterAction invites you to join a roundtable discussion where we will explore the frontier of responsible data, data protection, and compliance with data regulations. The roundtable will be moderated by Linda Raftree, lead organizer of MERL Tech and co-founder of Technology Salon.

Whether you work in ICT, risk management, protection, M&E, or just want to learn more, we hope you'll join us and lend your perspective to this exciting and critical discussion.

This invite is for InterAction members only.
