PQC migration in practiceMany people are already aware that quantum computers are a threat to the cryptography we rely on for digital security. We need to replace vulnerable cryptography with post-quantum alternatives, but where and how should you get started on this task in your own organisation?This full-day workshop on the ground floor in Merkantilen, Thormøhlensgate 53, will provide you with a good understanding of the threat that quantum computers pose for cryptography and what to do about it. The emphasis will be on what Norwegian businesses and organizations should do in practice to migrate to post-quantum cryptography (PQC).In more detail, you will learn about<ul><li>how to determine the parts of your IT infrastructure that are most critical to upgrade</li><li>tools that will help you discover all the cryptography that exist deep inside your systems</li><li>how to make a concrete plan for replacing vulnerable cryptography</li><li>technical details about the quantum-safe algorithms to be introduced, highlighting potential issues that might arise when integrating them in your system.</li></ul>The workshop is part of the NorPQC project, an RCN-funded joint project between Simula UiB and DNV Cyber for facilitating the PQC migration in Norway.Program for the day 0900 – 0930 Introduction, background and context 0930 – 1045 Understanding the risks of PQC and urgency of migration Break 1100 – 1200 Discovering cryptography in use Lunch 1245 – 1400 Planning and executing migration Break 1415 – 1530 Technical PQC deep dive
