About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

This training is Pennsylvania Quality Assurance System (PQAS) elligible.

This training will help site directors and teachers understand the thinking behind the emergent curriculum model and why it is relevant to the OST classroom. The emergent curriculum model can help meet the social and academic needs of the children you work with, while encouraging creativity and growth for teaching staff. Learn about how this method supports all domains of learning.

Materials will be introduced through PowerPoint presentations and a survey of resources and tools. Small group discussions and hands-on experiences will provide real world training in observation skills and translating observations into practice.
