Built on more than 50 years of research and practice in positive youth development, these 8 interactive workshops are modeled on the Weikart Center’s pyramid of program quality and designed to give point-of-service staff practical skills.

Supportive Environment Domain Active Learning – Do you know the difference between active learning and “hands-on” learning? Giving youth materials is just the beginning. This interactive workshop introduces the “ingredients” of active learning, explains the role that active learning plays in the experiential learning cycle, and helps participants create more powerful learning opportunities for youth.Meaningful content and adult support are key ingredients for creating an interesting and productive learning environment.
