Built on more than 50 years of research and practice in positive youth development, these 8 interactive workshops are modeled on the Weikart Center’s pyramid of program quality and designed to give point-of-service staff practical skills.

<h3>PQA Methods: Active Learning</h3> Do you know the difference between active learning and “hands-on” learning?Providing youth with materials is just the beginning. This interactive, in-person workshop introduces the key “ingredients” of active learning, explores the role active learning plays in the experiential learning cycle, and helps participants create more meaningful and engaging learning opportunities for youth.Meaningful content and supportive adult interactions are key ingredients for creating an engaging, productive, and youth-centered learning environment.<h3>Reminders from the DCYF Technical Assistance and Capacity Building Team</h3><h4>In-Person Workshops</h4>Please arrive on time and be prepared to actively participate in the workshop. Workshop location and other important details will be included in your Eventbrite registration confirmation.If you do not receive your Eventbrite confirmation email, please check your junk or spam folder. If you still cannot locate it, contact the TA/CB team.If you have registered for a workshop but are no longer able to attend, please cancel your registration through Eventbrite or notify the TA/CB team as soon as possible. This helps us make space available for other participants.<h4>Participation</h4>Our workshops are designed to encourage collaboration, creativity, learning, and sharing. Because these sessions are interactive and in person, participants should be prepared to engage in activities, discussions, reflection, and group learning.We understand that participants may have competing responsibilities. If you have questions or concerns about your ability to participate fully, please reach out to the TA/CB team.<h4>Feedback</h4>At the end of the workshop, you will receive a survey.
