WHAT NOW? What 2021 Holds for Women of Color in the Workplace

2020 was especially bleak for Black women. As NBC’s MakeIt notes, while women of color are “playing a crucial role in today’s pandemic, they are still disproportionately underpaid for their work, making it even harder for them to build a roadway to economic prosperity.” So, what can be done now; what does the post-pandemic world hold for WOC; and how can the incoming administration make a difference?

Minda Harts, the best-selling author of The Memo, “a no-BS look at the odds stacked against women of color in professional settings, from the wage gap to biases and micro-aggressions, with actionable takeaways”, will answer those questions and more in Take The Lead’s Power to Change Conversations, a webinar series devoted to offering substantive solutions to racism and gender equality issues. Harts is one of the country’s foremost voices on issues concerning WOC in the workplace. Recently named by LinkedIn one of its "Top Voices" in equity in the workplace 2020, Harts has addressed organizations such a Google, ColorComm, Nike, American Express, Multicultural National Women’s Conference, Black Enterprise Women of Power Summit, and The Wall Street Journal Women in The Workplace.

Felicia Davis, the moderator, is a Take The Lead’s Leadership Ambassador, the founder of The Black Women’s Collective and the facilitator for Take The Lead’s upcoming Academy for Advanced Leadership. She is an author, certified award-winning leadership coach and personal branding strategist, and advisor to women leaders. Davis has used her one-of-a-kind, no-nonsense approach to leadership training for companies such as Schwab, T-Mobile, and Pepperdine University.

Bonus: Each guest will receive for free the first chapter of The Memo.

Praise for Minda Harts:

When Minda speaks about women of color in the workplace, her words inspire and challenge audiences. Her powerful strategies are practical, actionable, and so crucial right now for both individuals and companies.
