Leadership in Changing Times:

Do you have what it takes to lead through continued change and disruption?

Persistent economic uncertainty and global disruption, coupled with the rapid evolution of technology and AI, present new challenges and opportunities to today’s business leaders.

The pace of change that started even before the pandemic is showing no sign of stopping. In fact, according to the Accenture Pulse of Change 2024 Index, 88% of business leaders anticipate an even faster rate of change this year. But more than half (52%) say they are not fully prepared to respond to those changes.

In addition to managing the rapid rate of change, leaders today are increasingly living in a VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous) environment. The term originated with students in the U.S. Army War College to characterize our world after the Cold War and is increasingly relevant in the business world today.

An ever-changing VUCA environment requires different competencies than many leaders learned in their schooling or honed in their early years as managers. A recent Forbes article cites adaptability, EQ, communication, AI, and change management as the top skills needed for today’s leaders – skills that many leaders are now scrambling to learn.

In this Power Breakfast, learn from top leaders how they are preparing themselves for change and leading their teams in a VUCA world.
