Introducing POV with SEG: A Signature Speaker Series on Rhode Island’s Economic and Social Future
Join Social Enterprise Greenhouse (SEG) for POV with SEG, a speaker series that convenes Rhode Island’s foremost business leaders, entrepreneurs, and policymakers to address the state’s most pressing economic and social challenges. This ongoing dialogue is designed to spark bold ideas, drive meaningful action, and shape a more equitable and prosperous future for all. Each session brings new perspectives and solutions, ensuring that POV with SEG remains a cornerstone of SEG’s commitment to fostering innovation and impact in our state.
The second installment, “What I’m Hearing from Rhode Islanders—And How It’s Shaping My Perspective: A Conversation with Helena Foulkes,” features a timely and candid conversation between Helena Foulkes, nationally recognized business executive and former gubernatorial candidate, and SEG CEO Julie Owens. Drawing from Foulkes’s experience on the campaign trail and conversations with Rhode Islanders across the state, this event will explore how Rhode Island can define a bold, inclusive business identity and better support its entrepreneurs, small business owners, and working families. The conversation will also address pressing challenges for local businesses—including the loss of federal support, lack of accessible childcare and eldercare, and structural gaps in the state’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
