The Poultry Processing Workshop will take place Alamance Community College, Building F on Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.ACC Map: https://www.alamancecc.edu/public-safety/maps-locations/index.phpClassroom topics on backyard bird basics, poultry processing and regulations will be covered first followed by lunch and then a hands-on opportunity to process broiler chickens in the afternoon. There will be enough chickens available for everyone to process one bird each if interested.***New for this fall class, we will process one turkey for demonstration and add information about turkeys to the backyard bird basics presentation.Guest Speakers will include:Jonas Asbill, Area Specialized Poultry AgentJerry Hackney, Department Head, Agricultural Sciences, Alamance Community CollegeNCDA&amp;CS Poultry Inspector Registration cost is $25 per person, lunch and materials are provided.Questions?
