Welcome to our 4-week hand building pottery course! This course is perfect for beginners who are interested in learning the art of pottery without using a wheel
During each class, you will learn and practice various hand-building techniques, such as pinching, coiling, slab building, and sculpting. Our experienced instructors will provide hands-on instruction and personalized feedback to help you improve your skills and create beautiful pieces of pottery.Throughout the course, you will have the opportunity to experiment with different shapes, sizes, and styles of pottery, and to develop your own unique artistic style. You will also learn about the properties of different types of clay and how to choose the right materials for your projects.
By the end of the course, you will have completed several finished pieces of pottery, which you can take home with you to enjoy and display. Whether you're interested in pottery as a hobby or as a career, this course will give you the foundation you need to continue exploring this exciting art form.
CLASS 1 : Armature and basic sculpting
CLASS 2 : Coil Building
CLASS 3 : Slab Rolling
CLASS 4 : Glazing and decoration
Includes: (4) 3 hour classes + class clay + unlimited studio time ( 6 weeks) + firing fees and studio glazes (6 weeks )+ 25 lbs of practice clay
*Class meets Thursdays from 6 to 9 pm or Sundays 10 am to 1pm.
