Safe AI is Making Air Travel Safer

AI is becoming ubiquitous. Most websites have it. Your phone is packed full of it. Even your toothbrush may be hosting AI. And when we think about taking to the skies, AI is a key part of how we do that efficiently – and, more importantly, safely. While regulatory bodies in the US and the EU are working to codify and regulate the use of AI in the aerospace sector, the corporate partners of the space are already working to isolate where and how AI can be used safely. GE Aerospace is at the front of the pack, working with industry standards bodies as well as advancing specific positions on how to make use of AI. This talk will explore aspects of that from a technical and policy perspective, and what it means to you and the future of safe air travel.
