<P><SPAN>Guest instructor Joe Pehoski, with over 50 years of blacksmith (BS) experience, wants to pass on the important stuff, just in case things go south. If you are a reincarnated blacksmith (you know who you are), you will want to pick up what you can from a “brother." </SPAN></P>
<DIV>
<P>No experience needed. Only requirement is that you can swing a hammer without hurting yourself.</P>
<DIV>
<P>During this workshop, students will forge a center punch. Along the way they will also:<BR></P>
<UL>
<LI>
<P>Learn to identify useable steel from scrap</P>
</LI>
<LI>
<P>Learn to heat and forge with “what ya got”</P>
</LI>
<LI>
<P>Learn to heat treat (harden and temper) tool steel</P>
</LI>
<LI>
<P>Get Hands-On & Hand-Outs</P>
</LI>
<LI>
<P>Hear lots of stories (some true)</P>
</LI>
</UL>
<P>Tuition includes a home-cooked “Road Kill” lunch of rice, beans, venison sausage and Dutch oven biscuits.</P>
<P>There is no drinking water at the shop, so please bring a water bottle for yourself. Long pants and closed-toed shoes required. See you at the Community Forge for a fun, unforgettable day learning about down-to-earth, practical blacksmithing!</P>
