Description:
While porn addiction is not formally recognized as a diagnosable condition, a growing number of people struggle with problematic porn use and describe experiences very similar to other types of addiction. This condition, often shrouded in secrecy and stigma, has proved to significantly affect the mental health and personal relationships of individuals who use it frequently. This workshop will address the signs and symptoms of pornography compulsion and addiction. In addition, workshop participants will gain an understanding as to how pornography affects the human brain and gain an understanding of both the causes and risk factors associated with pornography use and abuse. Various treatment methods for pornography addiction will also be explored and discussed.
