A wine-tasting excursion in Pompeii is a fascinating and fun opportunity to discover the area's rich history and culture while indulging in some of its best wines! When you reach your destination, you will have the chance to tour the vineyards and discover the many types of grapes and winemaking processes.
Following that, you will take part in a guided tour of the winery where you will discover the background of winemaking in Pompeii and the various techniques employed to make the wines. Additionally, you will get the chance to sample a range of wines, including reds, whites, and sparkling wines. You'll find a brand-new wine that was "produced in an amphora," just like the ancient Romans did.
As you are led around the vines, you will learn about the history of Vesuvius wine and how the craft of winemaking tradition has come to us. A nearby 79 AD Necropolis, a Bourbon water canal, and an amazing wine storage and refining chamber furnished with barrels and amphorae are also on the itinerary.
