Especially in a presidential election year, Americans are defined by political labels: Democrat or Republican, liberal or conservative, progressive or MAGA, red or blue. And while individuals’ values and policy choices are nuanced and formed by widely varying life experiences, that doesn’t keep us from stereotyping the political beliefs of others into these simple labels..
How do we move past these political stereotypes, and learn to have a greater appreciation for the diversity of views that exist across the political spectrum?
