About this event

Leadership and good government have never been more needed, but politicians and politics across the world have never been viewed more cynically. What makes for a good leader? And what happens when leaders go bad? Hear Iain Dale (editor of books on UK Prime Ministers, US Presidents and many others) talk about this vital subject with two local contributors: Gerry Hassan and Rosie Ilett to his most recent volume on Dictators.

Organized by

Kirkcudbright Fringe is a new arts and culture festival taking place on 1-3 September 2023 - bringing together live music, film, comedy, visual arts, performance, and talks and discussion across the town. It aims to showcase a range of voices and talents - emerging, new and established - adding to the reputation and feel of Kirkcudbright, its public spaces and places.

As Kirkcudbright Fringe we work in partnership with a host of people and bodies to make our programme, and the experience that people will have, varied and enjoyable – for new and returning visitors, and local residents - further enhancing the reputation of our town and the Dumfries and Galloway region. We hope you like it, and welcome suggestions and input for future years.
