Crypto Mania officially lands in Austin Texas!

Decred is giving away up to ~$17,000 (DCR) to blockchain enthusiasts on February 10th 2018 at the Hyatt Regency in Austin, TX.

How?

Teams will present the many ways they have used Decred’s Politeia blockchain to solve real-world problems. At the end of the night, our panel of crypto famous judges will decide which projects go to the moon! The top 3 teams will walk away $10,000, $5,000, or $2,000 payable in DCR.

Do I need to compete to attend?

Not at all! If you’re excited about Decred, Bitcoin, cryptocurrencies, or blockchain, you can register for a free ticket on Eventbrite. We’ll even provide the drinks.

What is Decred?

What is the Politeia Blockchain Challenge?

Decred’s Politeia, (governance proposal system) has a vast amount of potential uses. As such, Decred can only reasonably explore a few of them on their own.

The Politeia Blockchain Challenge is a competition designed to discover alternate uses for the Politeia codebase. Competitors will use Politeia source code to create innovative and functional use cases and then demonstrate how they work. Decred will choose the best of these on Saturday, February 10th at the Hyatt Regency Austin. The event starts at 8pm, ends at 12am, and is free to attend.

Competitors are encouraged to work in teams but may work independently. National competitors will be able to demonstrate their projects remotely through video conferencing. All competition submissions must be completed by January 26th, 2018.
