Join X-Pert Certified Level 1+2 Pole Instructor Oya for hybrid pole fitness and conditioning classes! Pole dancing is shown to improve your confidence, which is an added benefit to the changes your body will see over time!
Oya is trained to spot (help) you during tricks and improve your technique during the execution of moves, aiding with your safety. By taking this class, you will grow your strength, learn your body's flow, and build with a community of people who love pole AND fitness!
If you have a pole at home and want to improve your skills, or even take the opportunity to pole within a fitness atmosphere, this is the perfect opportunity. We use the X-Stage Lite from X-Pole to provide the sturdiest freestanding stage for confident poling. We understand that studios are NOT gyms, can be intimidating, hard to reach and expensive - but we got your back atthe Victoria gym and Upstate Alternative Fitness!
NOTE: Please do not wear lotion or oils before you take this class as it makes the pole slippery. It's also imperative that you are no more than 12 minutes late to participate in the warmup. You cannot participate if you are more than 12 minutes late and must reschedule.
Y ou'll participate in:
- Mobility and Stretching Exercises
- Pole Conditioning Drills to learn/improve tricks
- Instructed Strength Training using resistance bands and gym technology
You'll also walk away with videos and photos provided by Oya to use for your reels, social media, or remembrance during your pole journey. Refreshments and water are provided at the workshop. Yoga mats are available as an add-on!

Frequently asked questions
NO, you can leave the heels at home! However, you are allowed to train in heels during the open spin portion (last 30 minutes of the session).
Please bring a yoga mat, water and snacks. However, refreshments are provided! You can also purchase a yoga mat with your ticket ahead of time!
Please wear shorts, a short sleeved or sleeveless t-shirt and socks. It's imperative that you DO NOT apply lotion or oils beforehand. We can also provide the link to purchase approved pole wear.
We know you don't want to be ashy but it's a safety issue. Lotion and oils make the pole slippery increasing your chances of falling and injuring yourself or others. They also attract water being humectants, making it harder to keep the pole dry and clean. Please wait until afterwards.
You can reschedule once based on availability.
We do not allow refunds. Instead, we allow you to reschedule your class based on availability. We also provide options to rescheduling the class if there are scheduling conflicts with participants or the instructors.
Children are NOT allowed at the class.
