About this event

No other event in H-Town offers the scintillating wordplay of veteran wordsmiths and hometown heroes Se7en the Poet, and Dr. Bar None, as well as a bevy of talented artists who continue to blaze the mic, leaving audiences wanting more.  Not to be outdone, in between mind-blowing lyricism, DJ El Guapo mans the turntables, livening both party and poetry.  

There are two shows every Sunday: Early Show - Doors open at 1pm, show starts at 2pm. Late Show - Doors open at 6pm, show starts at 7pm.

Where can I park?

Valet parking is available for $25. Pay and free street parking are available (please read street signage.) or you may pay to park in a nearby parking lot or garage for $10 - $25.

How can I perform at the show?

The Poetry Lounge is a open mic set, so anyone can signup to perform. To do so, please arrive at 6pm to sign the performance list. There are a limited number of spot of available, so arrive early.to sign up.

Can I have my birthday party at the Poetry Lounge?

Absolutely, people invite their friends and family to celebrate birthdays at the show all the time. The price to reserve a table or section for your party is listed on the ticket page.
