About this event

  • 1 hour

If you’re interested in poetry of any kind and from any era, this is the club for you!

The first half of the meeting will be a brief, informal class highlighting the history of poetry along with some of its major types and techniques. The second half will be in the style of a book club, with poems that we will discuss and interpret together as a group.

In this session, we will be focusing on narrative poems, i.e. poems that tell a story through verse (think The Divine Comedy or The Odyssey). Attendees are encouraged to bring a poem of their choosing that fits this description, although this is not required.

Tea and baked goods will be served. Please let the library know ahead of time if you have any allergies or dietary restrictions.

This is a sensory-friendly event and will therefore have a limited number of tickets available.
