About this event

  • 1 hour 30 minutes

Deciding whether to install an artificial turf or natural grass playing field requires

serious consideration. The assessment should include a detailed analysis of

maintenance, safety and environmental impact. Responsible questions must be

asked and answered based on current and accurate data.

The Greenwich Sustainability Committee (GSC) and the Interreligious Eco-Justice

Network (IREJN) will partner to present a webinar on this

topic on Thursday, July 25, 2024 from 7:00 – 8:30 PM. It will feature both the

basics and recent findings about artificial turf and grass fields as well as

recommendations and guidelines for establishing and maintaining durable grass

playing fields.

The webinar features Susan Rudolph, a member of the Greenwich Sustainability

Committee who will present an overview of artificial turf vs. natural grass playing

fields, and Dr. Trey Rogers III who will discuss how to create and maintain

natural grass fields.

This webinar is free, but donations are gratefully accepted! If you want to make a donation, just select donation ticket. If you want to register for a free ticket, just select free ticket. You do not have to select both. Thank you!
