Description
Join Platform for our annual Convention this July 20 to July 22 in Washington, DC. Throughout the Convention, you will learn more about the policies that matter to you, meet fellow young women-identified and femme leaders who share your passion (Brittany and Emilie among them!) and have the opportunity to hold your lawmakers accountable—face-to-face.
During day one you’ll get up to speed on some of today’s most pressing policy issues through expert-led panels. This year’s panel topics include immigration, healthcare, democracy reform, women in the workplace, education, and women in the prison system.
On day two of Convention, we will be joined by our keynote speaker, the powerful Brittany Packnett. Brittany is an unapologetic educator, activist, writer, and national leader in social justice. At Platform we approach feminism and policy with an intersectional, gendered and racial lens, so you could say we vibe with Brittany’s approach to activism.
Also on day two, Emilie, the founder and CEO of Bossed Up, will lead you through a workshop to turn your story into action. Afterall, at Platform we believe you don't have to be an expert in politics to change policy, because you are an expert in your story- and that's more than enough to create change.
On day three, lobby day, you will get to meet with your elected officials and tell them about the issues that matter to you.
You have a voice that deserves to be heard and the power to flip the world on its head. We are your platform for change.
