Overview

Chef Toya Henry and Chef Demi Unique to bring the first design forward interactive culinary experience to DC Design Week.

DC Design Week presents Plated, a dinner where the table is a canvas and each course an experiment in design. Across the evening, guests are invited to see how food, when composed with intention, moves beyond the plate—becoming a medium for storytelling, conversation, and connection.

The night begins with a reimagined palette cleanser and welcome tasting from Chef Demi, before guests are seated for a progression of dishes paired with complementary beverages. The setting itself is part of the experience, designed to spark dialogue and reflection on how presentation shapes what and how we taste.

Chef Toya Henry and her Opal team will guide guests through a multi-course menu where each plate is treated as artwork—exploring form, texture, and story through food. The evening concludes with a special surprise, designed to leave guests with a lasting impression of food as both memory and medium.

Ticket Price Includes:
Welcome Tasting Experience by Chef Demi
Welcome Cocktails by Arthur Wheeler Spirits and and Common Ground Sprits
Coursed Dinner & Interactive Plating Experience by Chef Toya and Team
Optional Wine Pairing
A Final Surprise
