Do you love the creaminess and tang of a great cheese but want a dairy-free alternative? Are you giving up dairy for your health but miss old favorite recipes using cheese? Or are you simply in search of great whole food, plant-based artisanal experiences? 
In this hands-on class with Chef Beth Love, author of the cookbook series Tastes Like Love, you will learn to make three delightful cultured artisanal vegan cheeses:
Semi-Firm Cashew Cheese in a variety of flavors, Parmesan-Style Cheese, and Semi-Firm Almond Cheese.
In this class you will experience:
• A cheese tasting party in which you can sample many varieties of cheeses along with accompaniments like raw crackers and fruit
• An introduction to nut cheese culturing techniques
• Practice with the tasks associated with each phase of the nut cheese creation process
• Information about the benefits of replacing dairy products with whole, healthy, plant-based alternatives
• Fun connection in community
• Recipes to be able to make the cheeses again at your home
• A small ceramic cheese mold full of the cheese flavor of your choice
 
Children ages 8 and up are welcome and encouraged to attend when accompanied by an adult.
 
About the Instructor:
Beth Love, the author of the Tastes Like Love book series, has been a whole foods chef for four decades. A gifted teacher, Beth has educated hundreds of people in nonprofits, schools, churches, and prisons. She has inspired audiences in-person and virtually, from community TV to the Oprah show.
