Join us for an information session to learn how to take full advantage of Counting Us, the Regional Command Center, and Simtech's experienced support team to conduct an accurate and efficient HUD Point-in-Time (PIT) homeless census.
This session will focus on the planning stage of the count and will include the following topics:
- Incorporating jurisdictional leads to increase local participation.
- Using Show The Way and Known Location Surveys to identify hot spots.
- Using "pre-count" mode for training and testing
- Volunteer recruitment strategies and free recruiting tools
- Defining regions within your COC
- Customizing the surveys to meet local needs
- Establishing well-balanced count teams
- Roles and responsibilities for an effective count
- Monitoring incoming results and addressing data quality issues in real-time
We will also share new features for 2026 and leave time to open up the meeting for question and answers.
