In this workshop, you will explore live plankton samples, streaming from 2 microscopes, and discover the weird wonderful world of plankton!

In partnership with Greater Farallones National Marine Sanctuary &amp; Greater Farallones AssociationFor a special treat during the Randall Museum's Ocean Week, join guest marine science educators for an exciting exploration of the weird and wonderful world of plankton. Be dazzled by diatoms, dinoflagellates, and copepods. Discover bizarre larvae from crabs and mussels. Audience: Designed for kids 5 - 10 years old (plus their adult), this free class will be enjoyed by ocean enthusiasts of all ages.What to expect: In this fun interactive 60 minute virtual workshop, you will explore live plankton samples – streaming from two microscopes – learn how to dance your way through the barnacle life cycle, and witness surprising ocean acidification demonstrations. Register to receive a Google Meet link to access the class. Reserve your spot now! After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about how to join the class.
