At Planet, our mission is to image the whole world every day, making change visible, accessible, and actionable. In 2017 <a href="https://www.planet.com/pulse/mission-1/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">we achieved</a> the first part of that mission, successfully building the world’s largest satellite constellation that images the entire Earth’s landmass every day.Two years later, our platform continues to grow as we develop new ways for people to harness the power of our unprecedented dataset: tools like <a href="https://www.planet.com/products/analytics/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Planet Analytics</a> leverage deep learning to make change visible, accessible, and actionable to users around the world. At the end of the week we gather together in rooms around the world for a demo watch party. 10 out of 10 Planeteers agree: the Hackweek spirit is so awesome that we can't just keep it to ourselves.<h2>On October 14th, Planet is hosting our first ever public hackday, and you’re invited.</h2>Taking place one day before the <a href="https://www.eiseverywhere.com/website/3346/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Planet Explore</a> user conference kicks off, Planet Hack will be a full day of hacking by developers, for developers, on-location in Planet’s San Francisco manufacturing headquarters. Join us - engineers who work to build Planet's platform &amp; data - for a day of collaborative hacking, data exploration, and problem solving: work in teams or on your own to leverage Planet’s platform and make real-world issues visible, accessible and actionable. At the end of the day, show off your efforts at our demo watch party.Seats are limited, and registration will close on October 11th. Onsite registration will not be available, so don’t delay!
