Beat the Heat at this Lunch and Learn! Discover what you can do now to prepare for a fall vegetable garden in northeast Florida.
Fall is a great time to grow vegetables in northeast Florida. If you are new to vegetable gardening or new to Florida, join us for this in-person Lunch and Learn to learn how to get started now. This class will cover the basics of planning for a fall vegetable garden, including:
- Site Assessment
- Keeping Track of Your Garden
- Types of Vegetable Gardens
- Costs and Benefits
- Seasonal Crops
- Direct Seeding vs. Transplants
- Maintaining the Garden
- Harvesting and Storing Produce
This class will be held in person at the UF IFAS Extension Office. Lunch is NOT provided, but you are welcome to bring your own lunch and eat during the presentation.
