Lower Manhattan HQ (LMHQ)

Pitching your product, service, or idea to prospective clients and partners can be intimidating. Learn the art of crafting a persuasive pitch while boosting your delivery skills in this experiential workshop with <A HREF="https://www.goldjamcreative.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">GoldJam Creative</A>!
During this two-hour workshop, participants will: 
<UL>
<LI>Learn how to connect with their listener by activating their emotions and earning their trust;</LI>
<LI>Develop a pitch that showcases credibility and calls the listener to action;</LI>
<LI>Practice thinking on their feet to respond to interjections and field questions;</LI>
<LI>Humanize products and services by making them more relatable and easier to understand;</LI>
<LI>Craft and deliver a brief elevator pitch to the rest of the group.</LI>
</UL>
Please wear clothing you feel comfortable moving in, if possible, and arrive with an open mind. This workshop will be fun and highly interactive!
Pre-Work: Participants will be asked to prepare one thing to pitch: an idea, product/service, or themselves!

This workshop is led by <A HREF="https://www.linkedin.com/in/jen-jamula-8570a626/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Jen Jamula</A>, co-founder of <A HREF="https://www.goldjamcreative.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">GoldJam Creative</A>, an organization dedicated to exploring the influence of the Information Age on communication, and to bringing comedy and creativity to the workplace. GoldJam leads communication skills workshops for companies, co-working spaces, incubators and student groups as varied as Buzzfeed, Time Warner, Spotify, NBCU, DreamIt Ventures, Barnard, The Girl Scouts of NY, Penguin Random House, American Express and more. They coach companies on public speaking, pitching, giving and receiving feedback, unconscious bias and inclusion, effective communication, and <A HREF="https://www.goldjamcreative.com/learning-development-consulting" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">more</A>. Co-founders Allison Goldberg and Jen Jamula are also comedians, and were recently featured on the cover of Time Out New York, which ranked them among “the 10 funniest women in NYC”. Their <A HREF="https://www.alliandjen.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">comedy projects</A> have been featured in WIRED, Forbes, Newsweek, Vice, among others.
