Throughout the Day: Piney Grove will be hosting it's annual barbecue cookoff with 20 competitors competing in different categories with our panel of judges. Food will be available from noon to 4pm, spectators are encouraged to cast their vote for the People's Choice Best Barbecue winner.

In addition to barbecue, there wil be Beer, Wine and Crushes available for sale on site, a cornhole tournament hosted by Brackish Wooder, live music provided by Phillip Dutton and the Alligators from 1-3pm, and vendors around the site. Delaware Hot Sauce Company will be joining us for hot sauce tastings!
Whiskey Raffle: Alongside these events, there will be a whiskey Raffle drawing with lots of prizes from Veteran DIstilleries across the nation. Proceeds from the raffle will be benefitting the family of Jack Casey, Marine pilot who died in a helicopter crash in February, 2024. Jack was a good friend, and VMI classmate of Emory Lieber, loved by all who knew him and we hope you will join us in remembering his legacy.

Operation Enduring Warrior (OEW) is a veteran-founded non‐profit 501(c)(3) whose mission is to honor, empower, and motivate our nation’s wounded military and law enforcement veterans through physical, mental and emotional rehabilitation. Our programs help participants overcome adversity and hardship through innovation, teamwork, and perseverance. This ultimately enables the lives of our wounded military and public service veterans to go in directions they may have once thought were impossible.
OEW is a 100% volunteer-run organization. Donations go directly towards operational support of the organization and our various programs.
