This course is designed to empower participants to create handmade vessel using natural materials and simple coil and stitching techniques. All materials will be provided as well as written instruction for students to complete any unfinished work at home. We will discuss the history of pine needle basket making, foraging sustainably and preparing the materials as well as 3 stitching techniques to create a unique basket.Darning needles, pine needles, gauges and waxed thread will be provided, as well as written instruction for all participants to keep and use for future projects.*All classes at Mystic Ginger are held in the upstairs Wellness Collective, accessible to the left of the building up the black metal staircase.
