Pinafore Workshop

Beat the heat in your own custom pinafore dress, perfect for a pool coverup, on its own, or layered with a top as we transition into fall! In this workshop, you’ll learn the beginner sewing techniques of double fold hems and gathering to begin creating your own handmade clothes. This class is ideal for beginners who have some familiarity with threading a sewing machine and sewing straight lines and/or have completed the Beginner 1 page of their Sewing Skills Passport. Complete beginners are welcome, but we encourage you to anticipate needing more time and patience to learn the basics before getting started on your dress.


Fabric and sewing machines will be available for use. If you have a specific vision for your dress, you are also welcome to bring approximately 3 yards of a light to medium weight woven fabric. If you have your own sewing machine, we recommend you bring it to become better acquainted with it.
