Frequently asked questions

I've never done Pilates before Do I need to bring anything?

Thats exciting to hear! Pilates is a full body workout. So a mat to work out on. If you have a small/big band you can bring that! Wherever you go bring a water and a towel to wipe off that sweat ? Otherwise all you'll ever need is your energy! Of course this venue will provide the drinks and meal!

I'm over 40 can I still come?

Definitely! The brilliant man who came up with Pilates was over 30 years old and his first Pilates Studios was when he was 76! There is no age limit! Which makes it accessible to everyone and you gotta love that!

I'm not flexible can I still come?

Yes of course!One of the great things about Pilates is that it is accessible to individuals of all fitness levels, including those who may not be very flexible.Pilates focuses on strengthening the core, improving posture, increasing body awareness, & enhancing strength & flexibility overall.So Come!

I’ve never taken self defense classes- is that okay?

Yes!- No prior experience is necessary! Classes are designed for beginners and will cover the basics of self-defense. Experience is welcomed!

What should I wear to a this?

Wear comfortable athletic clothing that allows for movement. Stretchy, fitted clothing is ideal.

What is a self-defense class?

A self-defense class teaches you how to protect yourself in dangerous situations by developing skills such as awareness, prevention, and physical techniques to escape or defend against an attack.
