Why build an open identifier infrastructure? So that anyone can use it to create cool tools and services for the research community.
PIDapalooza is a two-day Persistent Identifier festival, happening for the first time this year. California Digital Library, Crossref, DataCite, and ORCID invite you to Iceland November 9-10 for a mixture of PID demos, workshops, brainstorming and updates on the state of the art.
1. Register for the event. Oh...and get ready to be fun
2. Dig up an old conference poster you’ve already presented that uses PIDs (or create a new one). We’ll showcase them all together. No need to pre-register posters
3. Swag swap. Bring your stickers, tshirts, pens, etc. from your favorite groups that use PIDs. Prepare to swap that swag.
4. Follow @PIDapalooza on twitter for updates. It's hip to be square!
