The Polo Community of Aiken Fund was created out of the need to help another polo family earlier in 2022. On June 5, the polo community came together to show their support for Ruben and Anna Coscia’s 3-year-old son Bear, who spent twelve days in the hospital with a ruptured appendix, which led to further medical complications. “Polo for Bear” was a fundraiser at New Bridge Polo & Country Club to benefit the Bear Coscia Medical Fund. The planning committee of both fundraisers has formed a board of directors for the Polo Community of Aiken Fund to achieve 501c3 status so they may continue to help people in the polo community.
