This afternoon program will feature performances by top students in partnership with Opportunity Music Project in a masterclass setting. Opportunity Music Project is a full scholarship music education program that fights to create diversity and equity in the arts, providing private music lessons, instruments to take home, and a full offering of educational programming to low-income students ages 4-18 from across 52 zip codes in New York City. Opportunity Music Project students receive performance opportunities at places like Carnegie Hall, Merkin Hall, Lincoln Center, and The Juilliard School. Alumni have gone on to attend The Juilliard School Music Advancement Program and PreCollege, Peabody Conservatory, Harvard University, New York University, and many others.
