Join this session for recent updates on the implementation of the Massachusetts Physician Pathway Act (PPA).

Join the Massachusetts Immigration &amp; Refugee Advocacy Coalition (MIRA) and ABN for a virtual information session on recent updates on the implementation of the Massachusetts Physician Pathway Act (PPA).Passed in late 2024, the new law provides a pathway to full medical licensure for eligible internationally trained physicians (ITPs) who have trained and practiced abroad in exchange for at least 3 years of medical practice serving Massachusetts communities with the greatest need.What does this mean for internationally trained physicians in Massachusetts? Join MIRA and ABN to learn about what this law will do, how it will impact you, and what the next steps should be. This session will take place on Tuesday, May 26th, 2026, from 5-7 PM. Please contact Maddy Crudele at maddy@africanbn.org with further questions. Among other requirements, eligible ITPs must have practiced medicine for at least 1 year in a clinical area corresponding to primary care (internal medicine, family medicine, geriatrics, or pediatrics) or psychiatry. The pathway also requires initial employment by a participating healthcare facility that will provide guidance and other support.
