This hands-on workshop focuses on developing advanced composition skills, learning to anticipate moments before they unfold, and pushing the boundaries of your photographic creativity.<h2>What You'll Learn</h2>Core Techniques:<ul><li>Advanced composition principles and visual storytelling</li><li>Scene anticipation and timing mastery</li><li>Creative approaches to street photography</li><li>Overcoming camera shyness and building confidence</li><li>Working with natural light in urban environments</li></ul>Specialized Skills:<ul><li>Silhouetting techniques for dramatic impact</li><li>Leading lines and visual flow</li><li>Sub-framing and layered compositions</li><li>Reflections and mirror work</li><li>Human geometry integration</li></ul><h2>Workshop Structure</h2>The experience is divided into focused learning modules, with "humans in geometry" being a key theme that explores the relationship between people and architectural elements through reflections and layering techniques. Throughout the day, we'll make strategic stops where I'll share examples of images captured at each location, demonstrating my creative process and approach to working a scene.Each participant receives specific assignments designed to challenge their current perspective and encourage experimental thinking. This workshop is fundamentally about sharing my photographic vision while helping you develop your own unique voice and approach.<h2>Location &amp; Logistics</h2>Route: Ferry Building to Embarcadero Duration: 6:00PM - 8:00 PM Footwear: Comfortable walking shoes essential Packing: Travel light - no tripod required<h2>Equipment Recommendations</h2>Cameras: All formats welcome (DSLR, mirrorless, film, smartphone)Recommended Lenses:<ul><li>Prime options: 18mm, 23mm, or 35mm</li><li>Zoom alternatives: 18-55mm (crop sensor) or 23-70mm (full frame), you can use long focal length if you would like.</li><li>Wide-angle perspective preferred for street work</li></ul>No tripod necessary - we'll focus on handheld techniques and natural light capture.
