CreateAbility Events Network was established in Bendigo in 2002 with the aim of providing opportunities through the arts for people of all abilities to expressthemselves and connect with others.CreateAbility runs projects in both performing and visual arts and organises regular dance parties.The projects that CreateAbility has developed have enabled people to give expression to the things that are important to them, helping form their self-identity.

'PhoneHeads' is a dance/movement performance created by the CreateAbility Performance Ensemble, in collaboration with Emily Richards-Jones from Z Fit Studios, with original sound design by Jacques Soddell. 
'PhoneHeads' explores how we can inhabit different head spaces whilst sharing the same physical space, and how this impacts on privacy. It explores how the use of digital media in public spaces allows us to shift into our own private experience whilst sharing space with the wider community. 
It is about messages – how we receive them and how we give them, with our bodies and our language. With the use of smart phones, ear buds and headphones, the gestures of private communication are now made public, part of our streetscape and landscape.
