Parents! Are your young ones more tech savvy than you? Did they figure out how to navigate YouTube before you, and are constantly showing you new tricks on the iPad? Hoping their interest in technology sparks their interest in STEM, where they can truly make a change in the world?

Kids! Are you the techie of your friend group? The one everyone in your family goes to anytime something won’t work on their computer or electronics? Wanna learn how to actually build the websites you use every single day? Then use those skills to help you achieve your hopes and dreams?

Join us! Tech Talent South (TTS) and Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels are offering a FREE introductory coding class for all members between the ages of 8 and 18 (and no, 8 is NOT too young to learn to code!) You’ll learn the basics of HTML, will be coding from the get-go, and will leave with your very own website that you can show your friends and continue to work on at home.

(Parents - this is a great way to spark STEM interest in your less tech-savvy or science-oriented kids as well. Coding requires imagination and creativity, so your little artists and musicians will love it, too!

Where: Spaces Works Coworking in the One Renaissance Tower at 2 N. Central Ave., 18th Floor, Phoenix, AZ 85004. The parking garage can be accessed from 1st Ave. immediately after crossing Washington Ave. and the CVS in City Scape will validate up to 2 hours. There is also a Lightrail station right next to the building’s main entrance.

What to bring: Personal laptop (Chromebooks are acceptable) and a power cord for the laptop.

• Your child must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or guardian at this event.

• Space is limited for this event. Registration is free but you must register each child that will be participating for each date you will be participating.
