A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Successful completion of this fast-paced, four-week basic course gives students the requirements to take the National Healthcareer Association’s Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) Exam. Once students pass the NHA exam, they are eligible to enter the workforce as a Level 1 (Basic) Phlebotomist.Overview:· Three nights a week for four weeks· Weekly self-study is needed. (Canvas)Requirements – All students will perform the following sticks on each other:· 10 capillary (finger) sticks· 30 venipuncture (arm) sticksSCRUBS ARE NOT REQUIRED FOR THIS COURSEThere are books that the students can borrow and return at the end of class or students can purchase their own.
