The Main Line Wine Gala is presented byResources for Human Development, celebrating the world's most innovative winemakers in an event that benefits RHD's innovations in human services. RHD is a national human services nonprofit that specializes in creating innovative, quality services that support people of all abilities and any challenges wherever the need exists. RHD serves tens of thousands of people every year with services that address health care, housing, education, social services, employment, community development, art and cultural activities and much more.

Resources for Human Development

Philly Pours is a unique wine and food event that showcases the wines of Anthony Hamilton Russell, a family estate making some of the world's finest Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, in an event that benefits RHD's Children's Services. Anthony and his wife, Olive, will present some of Hamilton Russell's finest wines — including extremely rare vintages largely unavailable in the U.S.
The Philly Pours VIP event will feature an exclusive vertical presentation and tasting of five years of Hamilton Russell Pinot Noirs with Anthony and Olive Hamilton Russell.
Hamilton Russell’s immensely successful Burgundian-style wines have set the standard of quality and sophistication for South African wine. The estate is located only three kilometers from the Atlantic Ocean, and the sea breezes make this one of the coolest regions for wine production in South Africa. Hamilton Russell wines are only made from the Burgundian varieties Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, grown on stony, clay-rich shale slopes.
The outstanding wines produced there are restrained yet complex and, most fundamentally, expressions of their own terroirs. The Wine Advocate called Hamilton Russell’s Pinot Noir “utterly sublime.”
Philly Pours will be October 28 from 5:30-8:30 pm at The Fretz Showroom in the Philadelphia Navy Yards, 4050 S. 26th Street, Philadelphia PA, 19112.
